Growing up, my back and my stomach were my two of my biggest problems. I was always complaining about my stomach not feeling well to the point where my friends were telling me "you never want to do X,Y, or Z thing because you always say your stomach hurts". So, I stopped complaining about it. I didn't want to miss out on the things I wanted to do in life so I just dealt with the pain and discomfort. Plus, back pain and stomach pain was something everyone dealt with, right? Onto my college years my stomach issues only proceeded to get worse and I started sleeping worse than I ever had before. Halfway through nursing school I realized feeling that way is not normal and unacceptable. So I saw the school dietitian who recommended I go dairy and gluten free. It helped but I was still throwing up, bloated, and in pain. I made my way to more doctors who ran blood tests, ultrasounds, and even an MRI. They always concluded I was normal, healthy, and there was nothing wrong with me. At that time I didn't know where else to turn, so I just continued down the same path I was on. I worked cardiac care straight out of nursing school and very quickly realized that was not health care to me. I firmly believe there is a time and a place for everything, however pulling 17 pills for someone's morning medications never settled with me. It broke my heart to see patients returning in worse and worse shape. I moved on to a postpartum unit to care for mommas and brand new babies. When I started working in postpartum I had to receive a particular booster shot and had an adverse reaction. I developed headaches, blurry vision, dizziness, and heart palpitations. Again, the doctors I turned to didn't have answers for me.

That's when I found Eating, Elevated. Nutrition Response Testing found the root cause of all of my health issues. I have since been healing my body from the inside out. My life has been changed forever. I no longer struggle with poor sleep, gut irregularities, crippling back pain, anxiety, headaches, blurry vision, etc. We also resolved numerous problems I didn't even realize were problems because that was just my "normal". Nutrition Response Testing has opened my eyes to the real meaning of health. I will always strive to cultivate optimal health and healing to every person I can. Nutrition Response Testing saved my life in more ways than one, and my desire to bring that to others is why I perused becoming a practitioner. What we accept as "normal" these days is unacceptable because everyone deserves to truly be well.
